Health
The health and well being of Augusta residents are met through the area's outstanding health-care system. Augusta offers one of the South's premiere medical communities.

Hospitals
University Hospital - What began in 1818 in a two-story wooden building in the heart of Augusta has grown to become University Health Care System, a multifaceted system of care that touches the lives of thousands of patients each year. As a community, not-for-profit health care system, University offers a comprehensive and integrated range of services to those living throughout the Central Savannah River Area of Georgia and South Carolina.

Doctors Hospital - Doctors Hospital is a 354 bed full-service facility and home to the nationally acclaimed Joseph M. Still Burn Center.

Medical College of Georgia - The Medical College of Georgia is a state-assisted university and is a unit of the University System of Georgia. MCG was chartered in 1828 as an academy offering a single course of lectures. Currently, the university offers 48 academic programs

Eisenhower Army Medical Center - The Military health System's premier medical center of choice, sustaining constant readiness, providing and managing superb health care and training competent and caring health professionals.

St. Joseph Hospital - There's more to St. Joseph than health care, patient support, and women's services. At St. Joseph, we are a family, devoted to our patients, mindful of our history and driven by a values-based philosophy.

Aiken Regional Hospital - Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, first opened its doors in 1917 as the Aiken Hospital and Relief Society. Except for several years in the early 1920’s we have provided quality healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities. Today we are a 225-bed acute care facility offering a wide variety of specialties and services.

Special Health Needs
Walton Rehabilitation Hospital - As the only physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital in the CSRA, Walton offers a complete continuum of care to individuals with physical disabilities. The cornerstone of the continuum is Walton Rehabilitation Hospital, which offers acute and subacute medical rehabilitation programs, as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy as appropriate.
