Hospitals
University Hospital
- What began in 1818 in a two-story wooden building in the
heart of Augusta has grown to become University Health Care
System, a multifaceted system of care that touches the lives
of thousands of patients each year. As a community, not-for-profit
health care system, University offers a comprehensive and
integrated range of services to those living throughout the
Central Savannah River Area of Georgia and South Carolina.
Doctors Hospital
- Doctors Hospital is a 354 bed full-service facility and
home to the nationally acclaimed Joseph M. Still Burn Center.
Medical College of Georgia
- The Medical College of Georgia is a state-assisted university
and is a unit of the University System of Georgia. MCG was
chartered in 1828 as an academy offering a single course of
lectures. Currently, the university offers 48 academic programs
Eisenhower Army
Medical Center - The Military health System's premier
medical center of choice, sustaining constant readiness, providing
and managing superb health care and training competent and
caring health professionals.
St. Joseph Hospital
- There's more to St. Joseph than health care, patient support,
and women's services. At St. Joseph, we are a family, devoted
to our patients, mindful of our history and driven by a values-based
philosophy.
Aiken Regional Hospital
- Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South
Carolina, first opened its doors in 1917 as the Aiken Hospital
and Relief Society. Except for several years in the early
1920’s we have provided quality healthcare to the residents
of Aiken and surrounding communities. Today we are a 225-bed
acute care facility offering a wide variety of specialties
and services.
Special Health Needs
Walton Rehabilitation Hospital
- As the only physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital
in the CSRA, Walton offers a complete continuum of care to
individuals with physical disabilities. The cornerstone of
the continuum is Walton Rehabilitation Hospital, which offers
acute and subacute medical rehabilitation programs, as well
as physical, occupational and speech therapy as appropriate.
