Imperial Theatre
Built in 1917 after the devastating Augusta fire of the previous year, The Imperial Theater hosted vaudeville in its early days, as well as the original silent movies and later the first "talkies". Today the theater is used for live stage performances and is the artistic home of the Augusta Opera and the Augusta Ballet. The Imperial is located downtown at 745 Broad Street. Call them at: 706-722-8293.
