If Augusta's weather in April could be summed up in one word, it would be unpredictable.

The Master's Web site says "Average April temperatures range from highs of 80 degrees and lows of 50 degrees. Hats, cool clothing, and sunscreen should be worn on bright, sunny days."

These figures are in line with official average temperatures which are stated as "High: 76F or 24.4C and Low: 51F or 10.5C" for the month of April in Augusta.

But History tells another story for the Masters Tournament. Early mornings can be downright chilly and rainstorms seem par for the course.

Look back at tournament history and you'll see a pattern of weather delays. Although an entire round hasn't been canceled since 1983, six of the past 10 tournaments have been hit by rain.
