Without a win in 2004, Chris DiMarco did post two second-place finishes, including a playoff loss to Vijay Singh in the PGA. There’s no disgrace in that one. A lot of people lost to Vijay last year. He tied for sixth in the Masters in 2004, 12th in 2002 and 10th in 2001 when he held the 36-hole lead here. DiMarco, ranked 15th in the world, has the game and, if “the claw” putting stroke holds up, he could have the jacket.
