Leroy Michna has to feel like he has the best son-in-law in the world.

Michna's son-in-law traveled to Monday's practice round at Augusta National Golf Club. He told Michna, a resident of Tomball, Texas, the best place to sit - on the front row in the heart of Amen Corner, the famous three holes that make up Nos. 11, 12 and 13.

"Nothing on television could compare to what you can see in real life," Michna said. "It is unbelievable."

Michna and a friend from Tomball, Wayne Johnson, sat in the front row behind the ropes to the right of the tee box at No. 12. From that vantage point, they could see the green at No. 11, the tee box and green on No. 12 and No. 13's fairway.

"To be able to see three of the most famous holes in golf is great," Johnson said. "Every golf fan dreams of being able to see Augusta National in person. For the few that get here, everybody dreams of seeing Amen Corner. For those who get to Amen Corner, the dream is better than you could imagine."

The area around Amen Corner wasn't exactly picturesque Saturday. In places, the mud was ankle-deep and the smell was nearly unbearable.

That didn't bother Michna or Johnson.

"Who cares about the conditions?" Michna said. "We get to see two-plus rounds of golf. That hasn't changed anything for us."

Michna said he was a big Phil Mickelson fan, and he got to see last year's Masters champion complete Amen Corner on Saturday.

"He is my favorite golfer right now," he said. "That was special to see him."
