2012 Masters champ Watson takes lead

 

Bubba Watson birdied his way through much of the second nine Friday to take the clubhouse lead at 7-under-par through two rounds at the Masters Tournament.

First-round leader Bill Haas was closest to Watson at 4-under through five holes when the 2012 Masters champion wrapped up his round.

Watson made the turn where he started the day, at 3-under, and strung together five consecutive birdies on Nos. 12-16 to finish the round with 4-under-par 68.

Watson’s round also included a birdie on No. 7 and bogeys on Nos. 9 and 18, where he missed a short par putt.
