Augusta National patrons came prepared for bad weather Wednesday.

Sherri Bailey arrived in a large gray raincoat. She also sported a bright colored baseball cap and clung onto a long blue and white umbrella which she used as a walking stick.

"Well you have to be prepared right," she said.

The National Weather Service reported an early morning rainfall dropped .12 inches on the Augusta area. There was a 20 percent chance of more rain this afternoon, with a high of 73 degrees by mid-afternoon.

Linda Williams made a quick stop to read a sign warning patrons of possible slick spots. She fretted about her footwear.

"It's always coming no matter what and I remember it was very slick going back in my tennis shoes (last year) but I guess I didn't learn from my mistake," she said.

Michael Grayson, 37, who attended the tournament last year, came with his 9-year-old son, Christian. Weather was not much of a concern for the Charlestown, Ind., residents who came dressed in short sleeve button-up shirts, khaki shorts and sneakers.

"I can't pass up opportunities like this or the chance to make memories with my son," Grayson said.
