After a solid outing Thursday, Adam Scott followed up with another on Friday and put himself in a tie for the lead on a crowded Masters Tournament leaderboard.

Scott shot 68 on Friday, highlighted by an eagle on No. 15 immediately after a 29-minute weather delay. The 38-year-old added three birdies to shoot 4-under-par. The only blemish was a three-putt bogey on No. 16.

After two days breaking 70 – the first time he’s done that to begin a Masters Tournament – Scott is hoping to maintain his rhythm.

“If I were to hit it like I have for the next two days, then it is down to the putter for sure. But you know, the good thing for me is I've been putting great this year when I haven't hit it so good,” he said. “So I feel like I just keep doing the same thing that I've been doing. Hopefully bring out the same rhythm with the golf swing tomorrow, and that certainly got me into a good spot so far.”

Scott is part of a five-way tie for first place, with 28 players at 2-under or better, making for an interesting weekend ahead.

“Yeah, look, tomorrow is a very important day, because there's no doubt someone in this top 15, or a few of them, are going to play very well,” he said. “This is the best players in the world on the biggest stage that we all want to be in so badly.”
