Augusta National and Masters Chairman Billy Payne will give his annual State of the Masters address at 11 a.m. today. Here are topics he is expected to address:

5 HONORARY STARTER: With Arnold Palmer dropping out this year as a ceremonial starter, who will join Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player in the future?

4 OLYMPICS: Payne spearheaded Atlanta’s winning bid for the 1996 Olympics and unsuccessfully tried to get golf back into the Summer Games at Augusta National. Golf is returning to the Olympics this summer, and the Masters is giving an exemption into the 2017 field to the men’s gold medalist of the golf competition.

3 GROWING THE GAME: Golf’s governing bodies are pleased with how the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals has been received, and the Asia-Pacific Amateur and Latin America Amateur initiatives seem to be working. What’s next?

2 BERCKMANS ROAD: The realignment of the road has gone smoothly this year, but what other changes and improvements will the club make in the area outside of its current gates? Control of the area could allow changes to the fourth and fifth holes.

1 COURSE CHANGES: Augusta National hasn’t had any major renovations in a decade, but the par-5 13th hole is said to be a prime candidate for expansion. Is it time to stretch the course a little bit more?
