The main scoreboard is reflected in the sunglasses worn by Rod Strader of Atlanta during the 2011Masters Tournament.

Clear skies are in the forecast for almost the entire Masters week.

A system moving through the area today brought showers and a tornado watch for most of the Augusta area, but it’s not expected to linger into next week.

State Climatologist Bill Murphey said the rain should be over by Saturday. It may leave some cooler northwesternly winds behind, but temperatures should still say seasonal.

After that it appears to be clear and sunny for at least the majority of the week with highs in the low- to mid-70s. The pollen forecast, however, is expected to remain in the medium to high level, with the majority of it coming from tree pollen, according to Pollen.com

Thursday appears to be the one day that could leave Masters visitors a little damp. A frontal system will move through the area Thursday bringing a chance of precipitation and cooler temperatures.

“It doesn’t look like a major precipitation event,” Murphey said.

The cooler temperatures following the front will push high temperatures down to the upper 60s for Friday and Saturday before they warm back up to the mid-70s for the last day of the tournament.
