Adam's Lounge to be busy for Super Sunday

At the Holiday Inn West, 1075 Stevens Creek Road, you have two options: Check into a hotel room and end your day, or head into Adam's Lounge next to the lobby and start your night.

Adam's will stage a Super Bowl party Sunday, with a tailgate party beginning at 5:30 p.m. A motor scooter, a television, a football signed by the Carolina Panthers and a large inflatable Miller Lite recliner will be given away to four of the first 100 people inside. Other prizes, including skiing passes and a two-night vacation to Charleston, S.C., will be given out throughout the night. Sports fans can drink beer, enjoy a free buffet and watch the game on one of four wide screen televisions.

Adam's is open daily and has the look of a classy lounge with the feel of a nightclub.

On Tuesdays, Adam's is home to a mellow, laid back crowd who unwind with drinks, food from the menu and Keith Gregory on acoustic guitar. Thursdays nights are ladies nights, with free drinks and no cover for women.

Sundays are the busiest nights, with all well drinks and beer included in a $10 cover from 9 p.m. to midnight. The cover charge is $12 after midnight. Party people 21 and over make good use of every inch of the dance floor - and the area in front of it where Keith Gregory had played - while DJ Doug plays Top 40s hits.

Adam's opens at 5 p.m. daily. Happy hour is from 5 to 7 p.m., and patrons get two-for-one well drinks and domestic beer with hors d'oeuvres. The dress code bans hats and athletic gear. Menu items include wings, Reuben and club sandwiches, and burgers. The kitchen is open until 9:30 p.m. daily except Sunday.
