GOING IN STYLE: Gary Fisher, of Cincinnati, discovered Monday that the course is not the only thing that is pristine at Augusta National Golf Club.
"Most beautiful bathroom I've ever used in my life," he said with a smile about the facilities near the 18th tee.
Later, while standing at the practice putting green with his camera in tow, Fisher said it was his first time at the Masters Tournament. He already had visited Amen Corner and Nos. 8 and 9.
Fisher said that while in Augusta he had noticed something else, too.
"The people couldn't be any nicer," he said.
GOLF COURSE REUNION: Jo Hoffman was full of smiles while standing in front of Augusta National's clubhouse Monday, partly because of the scenery and partly because it was a reunion with both a friend and her husband.
Hoffman, a Bartlesville, Okla., resident, said her husband, Jack, made it to Monday's practice round all the way from a contractor job in the United Arab Emirates.
"He got them (the Masters tickets) before he left," she said. Before Monday's practice round she had last seen her husband in December. "He told them if he took the job, he wanted to come here for the tournament."
She also reunited at the course with a good friend, Treva Ray, of Borger, Texas.
"This has really been worthwhile," she said. Her husband will stay in the United Arab Emirates for at least a year.
Of the course, she said, "It's just one big piece of carpet."
TIGER HUNTING: Victoria Pallos, 9, had a quick answer about what she was looking for at the Masters on Monday, her first visit to the course.
"Tiger Woods!" she exclaimed. "I want him to sign my visor."
Victoria was roaming the course with friends and family, including her dad, Charley Pallos, of Lexington, Ky.
"I'd come here even if there were no players," her father said.
