PHIL MICKELSON ON FIRST HOLE: Mickelson pulled his tee shot into the fairway bunker that protects the right side of the hole, but it was no problem for the 2004 Masters champion.
He hit his second shot onto the green, and his ball came to rest about 4 feet from the back-right pin location. He made the birdie putt to spark a run of three birdies in a row.
