Immelman takes four-shot lead to Amen Corner
Trevor Immelman remains four shots clear of the field in the 72nd Masters Tournament as the leaders play Amen Corner at Augusta National Golf Club.
Immelman, who's held at least a share of the lead since firing an opening-round 68, is 1-over par through 11 holes and 10-under for the tournament. Steve Flesch is four shots back at 6-under, followed by Brandt Snedeker at 5-under and Tiger Woods at 5-under.
Immelman opened his final round with a bogey at the par-4 first hole. He got the shot back four holes by birdieing the par-4 fifth. He had a chance to get to 12-under at the par-4 seventh hole but missed a short birdie putt.
He hit his approach on the 11th wide of the green, and his chip shot wound up on the fringe. But he rolled in the par putt to maintain his advantage.
Snedeker held a share of the lead briefly in Sunday's round. He opened the day alone in second place, two shots behind Immelman. After bogeying No. 1, he eagled the par-5 second hole to tie Immelman at 10-under. But he bogeyed Nos. 3, 6, 7, 9 and 11 to drop back.
Woods played his first nine in even par, bogeying one par-3 and birdieing the other. He rolled in a long birdie putt at the 11th but missed a short try on the 13th.
