Augusta Technical College

Augusta Technical College works with a number of local institutions to provide a variety of educational opportunities.

The radiologic degree is one of several programs the college has added in recent years.

Others include associate degrees in e-commerce Web programming and industrial maintenance; technical certificates of credit for application software specialist, CISCO-certified networking professional, graphic arts technician and Microsoft certified professional preparation; and diplomas in industrial electrical technology.

All of the college's courses are offered at its Augusta campus, a 70-acre site north of Bobby Jones Expressway, off Deans Bridge Road.

Many are available at its Thomson campus, which opened in 1997, and its Waynesboro, Ga., facility, which opened last year.

AUGUSTA TECHNICAL COLLEGE

Augusta Tech, a public post-secondary institution of the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education, offers associate degrees, diplomas and technical certificates of credit in programs that prepare students for employment in business, technical, allied health, personal service and industrial careers.

The college also offers adult literacy, continuing education and noncredit courses and training to meet the employee needs of local businesses and industries.

TUITION: $338 per quarter for full-time students (12 semester hours) who are legal residents of Georgia or legal residents of South Carolina in bordering counties (Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, Edgefield and McCormick). Student services fee, $20 per quarter ($17 for Thomson and Burke campuses); registration fee, $17 per quarter.
