Larger numbers of applications for the popular practice rounds and Par 3 tournaments are being sent to previous applicants via email this year, and the attached PDF file is personalized with the name, address and other info from previous applications. The emailed application program was first launched last year.
Previous applicants for whom no email address was provided will receive their applications via regular mail, according to tournament officials.
According to the applications sent out, the practice round dates will be April 5, 6 and 7, 2010.
"Applications will be chosen by random drawing," the notice said. "All applications must be postmarked on or before July 15, 2009, and will be given equal consideration. No tickets will be sold at the gates."
First-time applicants for practice round tickets can still apply for the 2010 event by sending a request for a practice round ticket application to: Masters Tournament, Practive Rounds, P.O. Box 2047, Augusta, Ga., 30903-2047.
