Sangmoon Bae raised his 8-iron in the air as patrons roared behind the 14th green.
After making eagle on the par-4, it was the least he could do.
From 170 yards out – in the rough – Bae holed his second shot for the only 2 on No. 14 this week.
“I knew I hit a good shot but definitely didn’t think it would go in,” Bae said. “I figured it would be around 3 or 4 feet.”
Bae said he saw his ball land on the front of the green, but lost sight as it trickled toward the flag.
“A few seconds later I heard people start cheering very loud,” he said. “That’s when I knew I made it.”
Bae, who is playing in his third Masters, carded 71 on Sunday and finished the tournament at even par.
