They are the loudest patrons without saying a word.

Dressed in neon yellow shirts, retro-flower print pants and flashy white hats, seven Swiss golfers strolled the course Thursday, making heads turn as they went.

The seven men from Switzerland, part of the Flying Swiss Golfers club, flew to Augusta to watch the Masters Tournament with plans of flashy, matching outfits for every day of the week.

“Oh, we’ve been asked to take hundreds of pictures with people,” Andy Brisacher said. “We couldn’t walk 10 meters without being asked.”

Their mission is to bring fun to golf and make people happy along the way.

“It’s the most fun a man can have with his pants on, and it’s contributing to world peace because it puts a smile on everyone’s face,” member Sam Sethi said.

As he was watching Tiger Woods play No. 18 on Thursday, patron Brian Miller spotted the Swiss golfers and did a double take. He said the spectacle was unique – one he hasn’t seen often at the Masters.

“At the end of the day, my boys wouldn’t let me get away with that,” Miller said.

The Flying Swiss Golfers have nine members and travel the world together to watch tournaments and play rounds together. In recent years they have visited Thailand, Scotland and Spain in the name of golf.

When not on the golf course, the club members are real estate agents, entrepreneurs, movie industry workers or financial executives. They formed their club in 1999 and said it is about friendship and golf.

No matter where in the world they land, the group is always color-coordinated. For Masters Week, Sethi, who is in charge of coordinating outfits, used retail company Loudmouth to choose the ensembles.

He said he goes for the most colorful and eye-catching outfits, such as the numbers they wore Wednesday: red pants with white diamond print black shirts, red belts and red hats.

Sethi said the best outfit is planned for Sunday, but like all great fashionistas, he would not give a hint at what it would be.

“We want to bring smiles to people’s faces,” Aurelio Landolt said. “Life’s too short to be walking around being boring.”
