Mickelson relishes anniversary of first Masters win

Phil Mickelson said he's enjoyed the past decade as a Masters Tournament champion. In 2004, Mickelson finally broke through when he rolled in an 18-foot birdie putt on the final hole for his first major championship victory.

Since then, Mickelson has won five major titles, including three green jackets, along with a PGA Championship and a British Open.

"I can't believe it's been 10 years. It's gone by so quick," Mickelson said. "It's so enjoyable to be a past champion and know I get to come back every year.

"That win 10 years ago just propelled me."

Mickelson, the No. 5 player in the world, said it doesn't matter how he's playing entering Augusta. When he drives down Magnolia Lane, everything changes.

"It's a magical place," Mickelson said. "I don't have to play perfect to play well here.

"If I do hit a number of good shots I am able to make some birdies."
