Oosthuizen looking to become second South African in row to win green jacket

South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen is bidding to deliver his country a second green jacket in back-to-back years.

Oosthuizen recorded a rare double eagle at the par-5 second hole and leads the Masters Tournament at 9-under through nine holes, two ahead of Bubba Watson and Peter Hanson.

Phil Mickelson recorded a triple bogey at No. 4 and is 6-under through nine.

Matt Kuchar, Padraig Harrington and Ian Poulter are tied at 5-under. Adam Scott (66) and Justin Rose (68) finished at 4-under and share the clubhouse lead. Lee Westwood is also 4-under through 12 holes.

Oosthuizen’s shot at No. 2 was just the the fourth albatross in Masters history and the first on that hole. There have also been two holes-in-one today, each at No. 16, by Bo Van Pelt and Adam Scott.
