Paul Casey shot his best round at Augusta National on Sunday, carding 67 to tie for low round of the day with Danny Willett and Matthew Fitzpatrick.
The 38-year-old Englishman finished at 1-under par and tied for fourth to earn an invitation to the Masters next year.
Casey birdied Nos. 13 and 15 and knocked an 8-iron to five feet at No. 18, where he converted for birdie once again.
“I’ve had 68 before quite a few times,” said Casey, who entered his 10th Masters ranked 25th in the world. “I think I’ve had better, stronger rounds in tougher conditions. I shot 68 playing with Tiger one year … that feels good to play with the world’s best and beat him. But this one is up there.”
